Maryanne believes that it is never too late for a new beginning in life, no matter how old you are. If we are not challenging ourselves, we are not growing; if we are not growing, we are not living; and if we are not living, what is the point?
Maryanne has been a qualified Chartered Accountant for eight years with auditing and extensive banking experience. She has always enjoyed financial services and started her career as a Chartered Accountant in Standard Bank’s Global Markets product control division. She has a firm tax knowledge base and has had exposure to different tax regimes across a number of African countries.
Maryanne has always wanted to make a difference in the lives of others and felt that the corporate world was just that … corporate. In 2014, she decided to change direction and upskill herself in another area of financial services, where she felt that her passion for the financial and tax world could combine with her passion for helping others. She has since obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Financial and Tax Planning Law from the University of the Free State and has written the Financial Planning Institute’s CFP Board Exam.
Maryanne’s other passion is music. She has played piano for many years and has taken up guitar. She also enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones, making memories and remembering what is really important in life.
