Chartered Financial Planning
Chartered extends its offering to cater for a younger demographic.

A few years ago we launched a new Chartered company  Chartered Financial Planning  in response to the demand for our services coming from a younger demographic of potential clients.

The idea came about from our retired clients who were looking for a company they trusted to take care of their children’s financial affairs. Chartered Financial Planning is now a fully-fledged financial services provider that operates in line with our Chartered philosophies and practices.

The “gamma” effect
After returning from the fourth annual African Cup of Investment Management conference in Cape Town, Bruce Cameron had some interesting research to share regarding the value of good financial planning.

I came across an article the other day by Bruce Cameron from Personal Finance that explores the value a good financial planner can add to your long-term financial security.  The Greek letter gamma is now being used to describe this added value.

According to the research executives at financial data company Morningstar, financial planners can add the equivalent of 1.82 percent annual arithmetic return to clients through the five components of gamma.  Over time that can equate to 29 percent more money to spend in retirement.
